Annalise was born and raised in Idaho, though she hopes to spread her wings and explore a little more of the world someday. She has loved writing since she was a little girl, but it was only in recent years that she began pursuing it more seriously.

For Annalise, writing has always been a form of therapy. A way to process difficult experiences, escape into new worlds, and give herself the happy endings she sometimes couldn't find in real life.

She began writing Shattered Illusions after an especially difficult time in her life. When she realized she couldn't control how things unfolded, she decided to create a world where she could. What began as an escape ultimately became a journey of its own, teaching her countless lessons about writing, storytelling, and herself along the way.

Although dark romance isn't a genre she plans to explore often, Shattered Illusions will always hold a special place in her heart. She is incredibly grateful for everything the book has brought into her life, from the lessons and experiences to the wonderful people and friendships she's gained along the way.
